In honor of President’s Day, my elementary school kids wrote what they would do if they were president. Here were their responses: “If I was president I would make people come to me and say we want to have Morgan as president. Please make her as president. Vote Morgan as president.” -age 8 “If I were pesident I’d switch nort carolina into PIE STATE. Canadians would stay in canada. Monday thru sunday would be pie days. monday and tuesday would named slushi day and candy day. If canadians came here they would have to eat pants” -age 10 “I will mack tusday-friday chinecken wings day and sunday-monday will be candy day.” -age 9 “if I was president I would not let kids go to school.” -age 6 “If i was presadent eveyboty would have to eat candy” -age 8 “If I was president I would have a lot of 100 grils stave” -age 7Translation: “If I was president, I would have 100 girl slaves.” (“Because gools awe MEAN!”) “If i woor presidet i woode nvit girls and boys” -age 5Translation: “If I were president, I would invite girls and boys.”
